When the Fog Lifts After Getting Sober

Fog Lifting

Sometimes people do not realize how much of a fog they have been living in during substance abuse until they have sobered up. People often realize that they have been missing out on a lot of things once they begin to regain their mental clarity. The good news is that once this realization has been made it becomes possible to begin to live life fully once again. Here are some wins shared by people upon completing the Drug-Free Withdrawal portion of their program:

“I had a lot of fun doing the training drills. I had some trouble at first, but it didn’t take long to master them. Everyone was very supportive and optimistic throughout withdrawal. It took a lot of hard work and concentration, but I can’t wait to get started in sauna (New Life Detoxification) and make more progress.” —Zachary
“It has been four days since I checked in and I feel like a different girl already! I feel mentally strong, physically stronger and I have more clarity and drive than I remember having in years. I’m ready to take on the next phase of the program. I know there are more tests and triumphs to overcome but for the first time in a long time I can honestly say, I’m exactly where I should be.” —Amber
“I have gained more in the 5 days I have been at Narconon Colorado than I expected to get out of it. I am normally a happy, bubbly person and the last 6 months I had lost touch with all reality. It is slowly starting to come back, and I feel refreshed and truly 100% ready to start a new beginning in life.” —Sommer
“I like the efficiency of this program better than the others I have been to. This program lets you build upon yourself as you go through it.” —Caleb
