Learning How to Live Life in the Present Moment

Before I arrived at Narconon Colorado, I was in a very bad state. I couldn’t function without using, however, I wasn’t functioning due to my drug use either.

I didn’t feel like a person and I certainly couldn’t support myself.

I felt bad about my relationship with family members but didn’t really care to mend anything.

Holidays were the worst. I was never really “present”, my mind was foggy, and this was hard on everyone involved. I was very selfish.

“I went to rehab with the mindset to succeed. I have succeeded!”

Now, I feel AWESOME, ALIVE and COLORFUL! I went to rehab with the mindset to succeed. I have succeeded! I have a job, a place of my own, my driver’s license has been reinstated and I am living life! I got to spend the holidays in Atlanta with my family, “present” in mind, body, and soul.

The staff at Narconon Colorado cared so much about me and my sobriety. They worked with me during my withdrawals encouraging me to ride it out without supplementing them with any drugs.

They helped me understand the benefits of the sauna program and eating healthy and getting solid sleep. The Objectives Course helped me get out of my head and be in the moment.

The most beneficial part of the program for me was Overts and Withholds. It allowed me to re-experience all the bad things I had done, pulling it all out in a short period of time and leaving it behind me.

I am 30 years old and I just wish I had figured this out earlier. Life is not just about you, it is about others.
