Recognizing Anti-Social & Social Personality Traits

Two girl friends

Creating a sober lifestyle requires a lot of personal reflection and change. Many times the people we surround ourselves with during active addiction are not necessarily going to be positive influences in our lives during sobriety. This does not necessarily mean that they are bad people, but rather people that we need to stay away from in order to do well.

In many cases, people in recovery often discover that they need to develop a whole new circle of friends if they really want to stay sober. The Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life Course provides a guideline for analyzing the people who are currently in one's life in order to decide if they are helpful or harmful towards one's overall wellbeing. This course also gives people the tools to assess whether or not people they meet in the future are people that will have a positive or negative affect on their lives.

“I learned a lot about personalities during the Ups and Downs course. I learned about the people I should be around and the people I shouldn’t surround myself with. Now I can recognize anti-social characteristics in people and distance myself from the wrong people and create healthy relationships with the right people.”
