I Am Able to Confront Any Obstacle That Comes My Way

Troy - Narconon Colorado Graduate

Recent graduate Troy shares some of his personal accomplishments upon completion of his Narconon Program.

“I’m now living in the present, willing to deal with reality and to face life without the influence of substances.

“I feel better, I’m more myself, and the feeling of self-resentment is no longer there. I can retain information more easily than before and for a longer period of time than before starting the Objectives. I’m more aware of my actions, thoughts, and emotions now. I really see the things that happen around me. I’m understanding things and I’m ready to take on whatever comes up in the future.

“While working on the Overcoming Ups & Downs in Life course, I learned a lot about unhealthy versus healthy relationships and I can now identify anti-social and social individuals in my life. I can also spot social and anti-social behavior in myself and I now know which are the positive actions to follow and which negative ones to stop doing. This will for sure help me to become a better person and live a happy and successful life.

“By doing the Personal Values course, I’ve gained a great sense of relief knowing that I can now identify unhealthy habits and the signs of unethical behavior that would only have a bad effect on my life and I’m now able to stop myself from making unwise decisions. I feel a lot better about my past, my problems and life in general.

“When confronting my past, I felt a lot of grief and sadness in realizing how much harm I had done to myself and to those around me. I was oblivious to how my actions were badly affecting everything. In the past, everything had been expendable so long as it meant I was getting my fix. I know now that it is important to coexist with all living things and to be mindful of how I affect the world around me.

“Before I came to Narconon, I was very depressed, anxious and had an overwhelming sense of guilt. I was doing whatever I had to do in order to get what I needed to support my habit—even if that meant hurting people, lying and stealing. There was no limit to the extent I would go to get high. I wasn’t a good person—and I certainly wasn’t happy.

“After staying at Narconon for nearly four months, I feel a lot better about myself and my life. I look forward to living a healthy, prosperous life free of drugs.”

“After staying at Narconon for nearly four months, I feel a lot better about myself and my life. I look forward to living a healthy, prosperous life free of drugs. I’m now able to live in the moment, contented and focused. I’m now able to positively confront any obstacles that may come my way in the future.

“Feelings of guilt, anxiety or depression are no longer there and I plan to lead a happy life with good habits like reading, writing, exercising and keeping a good job.

“Thank you, everyone, for what you have done for me.”
