Self Growth from the Personal Values Course
The Personal Values Course provides the opportunity for self-reflection and growth. It is not always an easy process but when done correctly a lot can be gained from the process. Below two Narconon Colorado graduates share their experiences of The Personal Values Course and what they got out of it.
“Writing up my personal transgressions was really hard for me. Remembering everything I’ve done to myself wasn’t easy. It brought back a lot of pain that I have been trying to forget, but writing it down and seeing it on paper has made it easier to let it go. I’m not sure why, but some of the things I have been holding onto for so long no longer bother me anymore. It was a rough few days going through Personals, but I am glad that I did it and now I can move on.” -Mike R.
“Completing the Personal Values portion of the course helped me realize a lot of things. I know now that I put myself in harm’s way and neglected my health during my use. I poisoned my body for years with drugs and didn’t think twice about it. It felt good to get all that out on paper because it has shown me how far I have come. It also showed me the importance of taking care of myself because life is short and precious.” -Dan W.

The Personal Values Course
This Course provides people with the opportunity to take responsibility for and learn from past mistakes. Below are some wins from Narconon Colorado graduates they shared after completing this portion of the program.
The Importance of Honesty in Recovery
Why are honesty and integrity such an important part of recovery? Because they are some of the first things to go when someone is caught up in an addiction. At first, it starts out small like downplaying the number of drinks that were had the night before but over time the lies begin to escalate.
