Life Skills Courses—A New Slant on Responsibility and Positive Causation

Happy friends

Simply put, the Life Skills courses give the students the ability to start a new slate with a positive outlook on their ability to contribute to themselves, their families and society. Here are some wins from students on the Narconon Life Skills portion of the program:

Changing Conditions in Life course

Roger – The Changing Conditions in Life book has helped me realize my priorities and taught me what changes need to be made in order to live a normal life. It taught me how to analyze each change that is needed to be made.

Ryan – In studying Changing Conditions in Life I realized that when I started using drugs I got lazy. My production went down and I started steadily declining my positions and condition. Losing my job which decreased my income, lost my girlfriend which gave up my position as a good boyfriend, lost my family (became non-existent), and then failed and destroyed making myself a liability. But now that I am sober I plan to rebuild my life to become a happy sober successful member of society and a good man to my family, friends and future spouse.

Personal Values course

Jolee – After having completed to write down my harmful acts I had done against living things, it showed me how I acted irresponsibly and effect all the living things in my environment.

Writing down the harmful acts done against the physical objects has shown me how irresponsible I have been with my things. I will be sure to take better care of my belongings from now on.

Ryan – Now that I have completed Personal Values, I realize that in my past I have done a lot of damage to my personal health, the relationships with my family, and sexual partners. I was destructive toward society and my own physical objects and now I will work on rebuilding my relationships with my family and society, as I have worked on rebuilding my body and mind through this program to achieve greatness and be a better man. One who takes care of his family and physical objects and cares for society, living things and social groups in the community.

Jolee – Personal Values taught me a lot. I learned what kind of people I hung around, how my drug use effected the groups I was involved in, for example, my job. I learned how it affected society and how irresponsible I have been with my belongings and how it affected living things. I will now live a healthier life. I will take better care of my things and I will surround myself with positive, supportive people.
